Pasta Dinner to Benifit Ret. FF Bill Sutter
One of our beloved retired firefighters has been dealing with serious illness, and needs our help. As a past Local 773 President, retired FF. Bill Sutter fought tirelessly on behalf of Bristol firefighters and served his city faithfully. Sutt ALWAYS had our backs, and now it's time for us to have his!
Local 773 will be hosting a pasta dinner at the American Legion on Tuesday, October 17th from 5-8 pm to benefit Bill Sutter and assist with some significant medical expenses. We humbly ask that you consider helping out our brother firefighter.

Bristol Firefighters recieve Commendations for Actions at Fire
At the Monday (May 22) Bristol Fire Board meeting, firefighters from 4th Platoon, Tower 1, received commendations for their actions at a structure fire on Monday April 17, 2017. In the evening of Monday, April 17, Bristol firefighters were dispatched to the report of a structure fire. Upon arrival to the reported address, firefighters were met with a working structure fire in a two story residential structure. Tower 1 firefighters Derek Freimuth and Donald Perrault, under the direction of Captain James Plaster, made entry into the structure to conduct a primary search. Within a few feet of entering, the tower crew made contact with a victim and proceeded to remove her from the structure. Life saving actions were performed on the fire victim, successfully, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for further care. The quick actions of these three firefighters along with the professional and exemplary skills of all firefighters on scene is a testament to the professionalism and outstanding work of the members of the Bristol Fire Department.
Pasta Dinner in Honor of New Britain Firefighter Scott Johnson
Please consider supporting New Britain Firefighter Scott Johnson, who is currently battling cancer by attending a Pasta dinner fundraiser hosted by The New Britain Firefighters local 992. Farmington Fire Local 3103 Bus Trip
Please consider supporting Farmington Professional Firefighters Local 3103 by attending their Mohegan Sun Casino bus trip on Saturday June 24th. The bus will be departing from 2 West Woods Drive, Farmington Ct 06032 (Southwest Station) at 5:00pm and will return from Mohegan Sun Casino at 11:00pm.
The cost per person is $35.00 which

26th Annual Children's Holiday Parade
Bristol's annual children's holiday parade will be held on Sunday, December 4th, from 1:00PM until 2:30PM beginning on the Federal Hill Green. Children with their families, are invited to take part in this "reverse" parade, in which the youth of the city walk from the Federal Hill Green down to Main Street, as they receive free treats from local vendors and are invited to partake in games and other winter festivities as they finish their walk, on Main Street. Bristol Fire local 773 will be serving hot coco and handing out candy on Main Street, and, as always, we look forward to seeing you there!
Welch Uncas P.A.C Fundraiser, Nov. 8
The Welch Uncas Political Action committee will be holding a fundraiser on November 8, from 6pm until 9pm, at the Firefly Hollow Brewing Company, at 139 Center St, Bristol, CT. The recommend donation is $20 at the door, cash or personal check only and, there will be a cash bar. The Welch Uncas PAC was founded and is comprised of professional Connecticut firefighters whose mission is to support the fire and rescue services in the state of Connecticut, along with those politicians who support the emergency services in this state.
2016 Bristol Fire Department Annual Chili's Tip-a-Firefighter Night!
Please joins us on Thursday, October 13th, as Bristol Firefighters take part in our annual tip-a-firefighter event at the Chili's in Bristol. The event will be from 6pm to 10pm, and, if you print and bring along with you the attached flier, 10% of your purchase will be donated to the Friends of the Bristol CT Animal Shelter! We hope to see you there!
Local Heros Chili Cook-Off
On Saturday, October 29th from 11am until 2pm come on down to the ShopeRite of Bristol (1200 Farmington Ave.) and vote for your favorite chili prepared by local Police Officers, Firefighters, Emergency Medical Responders, and Military Personnel!
The Hearts Behind Badges event will be held Sunday, October 2, at the center mall site from noon to 3. Tickets are $15 a person and $10 for children under 16. BBQ chicken, corn and potatoes will be served along with other refreshments. This event will be rain or shine, so bring your friends and family and help honor those your serve our community!
We Are One Softball Tournament
This Saturday, September 17, at Casey Field on Lake Ave. in Bristol, from 6pm until 10pm, will be a softball charity game played by local police officers, firefighters, EMTs, teachers and other community leaders. This will be a great event to come and meet those individuals who serve the community on a daily basis. The United Way will also be present to accept unused school supplies as donations for local youth in need. The cost to attend is free. We hope to see you there!
Base ball Hall of Famer Jim Rice Honored at Muzzy Field
On Thursday, July 14, several members of the Bristol Fire Department, along with other city officials, were in attendance at the local Bristol Blues baseball game where Red Sox Hall of Famer Jim Rice was honored and his number retired. Mr. Rice began his baseball career in 1971, when he was drafted by the Boston Red Sox and made his debut with the Bristol Red Sox in 1973. Mr. Rice's number is the second to be retired, the first belonging to Babe Ruth.

Blood Donation Drive in Honor of Cameron and Olivia Plourde
Bristol Fire Department Local 773 along with The Hospital of Central Connecticut, will be holding a blood drive in honor of Cameron and Olivia Plourde (daughters of Bristol Firefighters Brian and Adrienne Plourde)on Wednesday, June 29th, from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm at the Hillside Community Church (435 Broad St, Bristol).
